Ways to Serve
Firefighting isn't the only way to help. Members serve in three areas:
FIREFIGHTING & EMS
-
Respond to calls for fires, medical emergencies, crashes and rescues across the Southern Black Hills.
-
Training and gear are provided by the department, so no experience is needed.
FIRE GROUND SUPPORT
-
Back up the crews on scene by helping with equipment, water supply and other support tasks.
-
Training is provided so you know exactly how to help when you arrive.
ADMIN & FUNDRAISING
-
Help behind the scenes with administration, fundraising, events and other non-fire activities.
-
A great fit if you want to serve your community without responding to emergencies.
-
Every role counts and makes you part of the team.
